Georgia and National PTA have opted to increase the amount of dues that each school pays for membership for the 2025-2026 school year. We currently charge $7 for PMES PTA dues. For the next school year, Georgia PTA will assess $1.85 from that amount and National PTA will assess $3.25, creating a cost of $5.10 that PMES PTA will be required to pay for each member. To offset this cost of these increases, our PTA board is proposing an increase to our PMES PTA dues to $9 for next school year. We are required by our bylaws to provide our membership with 30 days notice. This change will be voted upon at our March PTA meeting on 3/28 at 10:30am in the PTA room. March 25th is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day! Wear green to show your support! Students will also be watching a special video on the morning news featuring some of our PMES friends with cerebral palsy to explain what it is and how they can help create a more inclusive environment.
WHO'S READY TO WIN SOME PRIZES? IT'S TIME FOR THE ANNUAL PMES BINGO NIGHT!

Families must purchase tickets in advance by returning their form with cash/check OR by ordering tickets through MemberHub (https://puckettsmill.memberhub.com/store).
There are two sessions (times listed above) and each session will be limited to 175 attendees.
Cost -$5 per person. Includes one (1) bingo card. Players may choose to purchase additional cards for $5 per card up to a max of 3 cards per person. (Parents or young children who are not playing bingo do not need to purchase a ticket/card.)
Concessions will be available. This year we are offering the option for families to preorder WHOLE pizzas in advance for $12 per pizza. Please note: Whole pizzas will not be available for sale the night of and must be purchased in advance! Small gluten free cheese pizzas are also available for PREORDER ONLY! Pizza slices, chips, candy, and drinks will be available for purchase at the event.
In conjunction with Bingo Night, we will be hosting a raffle for some fun themed gift baskets and other items, including sports memorabilia! All raffle proceeds will support student activities, supplement instructional materials, and enhance the learning experience of all students. To enter, we will have raffle tickets available for purchase online beginning 3/21 or you can purchase raffle tickets in person at Bingo Night!

It's time for the PMES Penny War! More information will be coming home this week. Start gathering your loose change and meet us in the front lobby starting next week! All money collected from this fundraiser will contribute to the continuation of our StarLab fundraiser!
April is Autism Awareness Month! Wear BLUE on TUESDAY, APRIL 1ST to show your support! Students will be hearing more about autism on the morning announcements!
IT'S TIME FOR THE PMES GOT SNEAKERS? GRADE LEVEL COMPETITION! Our campaign will kick off on Monday, March 10th! Clean out your closets and donate your used athletic shoes to PMES. Got Sneakers? will compensate PMES for all donated athletic shoes.
Collection bins will be set out starting Monday, March 10th and will be found in the hallway near the nurse's office. Collections will be held through Friday, April 18th.
To make it even more fun, we are holding a friendly grade level competition to see who can donate the most shoes. Each Thursday, we will gather up collections and post the standings right here on Facebook. The winning grade level will receive a popsicle party!
All compensation we receive from Got Sneakers? will go toward the PMES PE program.

You can now support PMES PTA through your everyday purchases. Every time you shop or dine out, our PTA will receive a donation from the business you are patronizing and you can earn cash back. It's a win-win! (This is a replacement for our Amazon Smiles program which was discontinued last year.)

Head to givebacks.com, choose Puckett's Mill ES PTA, and create your account. Mobile and desktop purchases are both included in this program.
2. Securely link your card
This will earn our school cash back for in-person shopping and dining. You can also head to the Local Offers page in your Givebacks account to see which local restaurants and retailers are donating to our cause.
3. Earn cashback!
Once you have added the browser extensions, go shopping to start earning cashback and send the $5 bonus to our cause. You'll also earn $5 for each new active backer you refer.
The goal of the PTA is to enhance the educational experience for all students at Puckett's Mill. Thanks to a lot of generous support from families like yours, the PTA sponsors and provides:

At the end of each school year, any remaining PTA funds are donated back to PMES. While the PTA does make donations to the school throughout the year for very specific uses (music program, media center, etc.), the end of year donation is to be used exclusively for educational materials and support.
We're grateful for the community we have at PMES to be able to support our teachers, staff and students this way. We truly believe PMES is a special place and it wouldn't be the same without all of you!
