Final Day to Order School Supply Kits
While we are wrapping up one school year, we are already looking ahead to the next! Teachers have prepared their classroom supply lists for next year! If you prefer not to fight the back to school shopping crowd, our school supply kits are right for you. It's convenient and easy! All you do is order the kit online, and PRESTO! The kit will be waiting for you at open house. Be sure to order the kit for your child's 2023-2024 grade level. Orders will be taken through Sunday, June 4. RISING KINDERGARTEN PARENTS-Get your kiddo pumped about their new adventure into elementary school with our WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN YARD SIGNS and KINDERGARTEN T-SHIRTS!
YARD SIGNS: Two sizes available: 18x12 OR 24x18 Three different design options: Name Only, Name and Picture, or Generic Welcome.
***Deadline to order is Friday, June 30. Installation included. Signs will be installed the week of July 24.
T-SHIRTS: Available in blue and pink. Sizes Youth XS, Small and Medium. Shirts can be sent home with current students, picked up at the front desk, or arrangements can be made with a PTA board member via email. Shirt quantities are limited.

Here are some of the ways you can play a role in our school’s success:
Join the PTA. This is a simple step that you can take on MemberHub. It only costs $7 per child, parent, or family member to join, and you are not required to attend meetings. As a PTA member, you can serve on one of our committees, vote on matters brought before the PTA, benefit from several discounts, or simply show that you support our school. Click on the Membership tab to learn more and become a member today!
Volunteer. Our programs are only successful because of our volunteers! We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities ranging from those that can be done at home to those that require a few hours at school and those that require lots of time at school. In your child’s classroom at Open House, you will see a form where you can sign up to volunteer in a way that works for you.
The goal of the PTA is to enhance the educational experience for all students at Puckett's Mill. Thanks to a lot of generous support from families like yours, the PTA sponsors and provides:

~Mother-Son Event
~Scholastic Book Fair
~Yearbook
~Dads on Duty
~Bingo Night
~Cultural Arts
~Class holiday parties (Student Enrichment Fund)
~Staff Appreciation Week
~Bus Driver Appreciation Day
~Teacher lunches
~Spirit Nights
~And much more...
At the end of each school year, any remaining PTA funds are donated back to PMES. While the PTA does make donations to the school throughout the year for very specific uses (music program, media center, etc.), the end of year donation is to be used exclusively for educational materials and support.
At the November PTA meeting, the members in attendance heard a report on how last year's PTA donation to PMES has been spent. To date, the school has used the funds to purchase the following:
`$5,900 has been used to purchase subscriptions to Scholastic News, Storyworks and Dynamath
`$11,800 has been used to purchase digital licenses for programs such as RazKids, Learning A-Z, Freckle Math, Brain Pop and Starfall
~$3,000 has been used to purchase classroom supplies such as STEM toy building blocks for 1st grade, LEGO chain reaction kits for STEM and color sorting animals for the self contained classrooms
The school will continue to purchase educational materials throughout the year as needs arise.
We're grateful for the community we have at PMES to be able to support our teachers, staff and students this way. We truly believe PMES is a special place and it wouldn't be the same without all of you!

Yes, we encourage you to purchase a PTA membership for each parent and all students who attend PMES as our PTA bylaws do not allow "Family Memberships." We appreciate your support!
Each membership helps strengthen our community as we strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of ALL of our students.
Members are able to vote on matters that help support our students, staff, and school-while also receiving PTA perks, such as discounts on event tickets, coupons from our Business Partners, monthly drawings to win prizes, and much more.
