As the school year gets started, you will probably hear a lot of talk about the Student Enrichment Fund, or SEF. This fund is a one time $30 donation made to your child's classroom to aid in the funding of various celebrations and classroom activities throughout the year. From class treats, parties, educational materials and teacher needs, this fund covers the majority of each class' necessities throughout the school year. When you contribute to SEF, you are helping your student's teacher and room moms as this provides a budget from which they can work with during the school year to cut down on the amount of requests sent home to parents.
As an ADDED BONUS, if you contribute before Friday, August 30th, your student's class shirt is included with the $30 contribution. The class shirt is used throughout the year for Field Day, class field trips, and other events. Contributing to your child's class SEF account ensures that your child will receive their class shirt promptly.

Fifth grade is kind of a big deal! With 5th grade being the last year in elementary school, there will be several special events throughout the year to celebrate.
The $60 will cover Field Day (usually held at Mill Creek High School), and classroom celebrations (winter party, spring party, Milestone treats). This money will also cover your student's end of the year Achievement Day festivities. Held during the last week of school, Achievement Day is a special day for 5th grade students. There will be a catered lunch, ice cream bar, and other fun entertainment activities.
If the $60 contribution is made before Friday, August 30th, your child's Field Day/class shirt will also be included. The 5th grade class shirt is different than other grades. The 5th grade shirt is designed by a fellow 5th grade classmate and the name of all 5th grade students are listed on the back.
We can't wait to celebrate the class of 2032!
